A Girl...

A wild flower, rare, beautiful, and surprising,
She stands strong distinguished amongst the rest,
Her natural yet subtle beauty entrancing,
The clarity of Nature once again is manifest.

The analogy yields to the beauty within,
Visions of an infinitely complex fractal recursion fall short,
All attempts to describe implode before they begin,
Analytically intractable, impenetrable by thought.

Her honest curiosity humbles me.
Through layers of warmth, I see beyond her smile.
Volition and intellectual acuity; a reminder,
She kowtows to no-one,yes I like this girls style.

From the moment I heard the first word from her lips,
I wondered whether I was seeing a mirage,
Upon getting closer my expectations were eclipsed,
A prsion break, release, my feelings were at large.

What to do I asked myself, if onlyshe would reciprocate my affection,
With ruffled complexion, I'm tortured by my minds misdirection,
Neuronal circuits put it to the vote but there is no election.
To divide and to section, to solve with mechanical perfection,
that's what my mind strives for, its built to relentlessly question.

The mystery prevails, can she and will she cure this infection?

Everlasting Wait...

I had waited for you for so long, my love.
Now I find myself waiting even longer.
It isn't your fault that you aren't here with me
and I love you enough to wait a lifetime for you.
Tonight there were little rabbits sitting in our driveway.
Maybe they were waiting, watching for you,
but you didn't come home and it's late. They must be sleeping now.
You have been gone for over a year now.
Sometimes it amazes me that the birds still sing
and time still goes on. It's as though you never left at all.
I have you here with me, tucked safely away in my heart.
I hold you in my dreams
as my tears fall on your face, that really isn't there.
Just my imagination, so wild, so vivid at times.
Soon my love, I'll come and get you,
and bring you home with me.
I'll love you and cherish you forever,
and do my best to make all your dreams come true.

My Lonely Night...

Oh the stars do shine in the canopy of night
Twinkling down like lovers eyes
Watching the emotions flit across my face
While dreams chase each other in my mind

Sweet breath of night caress my face
Remind me of your touch
Gentle fingers resting against my skin
Bring forth a torrent of love

Upon the breeze the perfume of summer
Embraces me in a hazy cocoon
So like your arms around me
Such sweet torture I endure

Wafting softly through the fragrant air
A whispered voice does carry
Softy spoken words of love
Lingering on the ear

Oh how I miss your lips upon mine
His weight nestled against me
I so long to hear you say my name
As you gazes at me in love

To soon the night closes in on me
Wrapping me in velvet arms
I must seek my lonely bed
Just to dream of you some more

An Ode to my love!!!

'Were you honed from poetry? '
I asked your saddened smile.
For it seems to tell a longing tale -
One of words in oratory
That speaks in languid metaphors
From lips of mind in deep despair
And solitude from inner wars
That over time has rendered life so frail.

'Were you carved from doleful prose? '
I sought to ask your gaze.
For a pain lies deep within your eyes -
One of barren territory
Where no fair heart could ever drift
And hope to venture back content
With grateful memories in a gift:
A land of your affectional demise.

'Do I hear a mournful hum? '
I wondered of your cry.
For it sings a song of deep lament -
One of quiet soliloquy
Recited on deserted strands
To waves that have no sense of song
And only wish to fight the sands -
A chant that cites emotional descent.

Do you know your face portrays
The colours of your soul?
It tells me at a single glance
Of how you burned your furnace whole
To stay the fire in our romance.

And see the prismic hues they bore!
I cherished all I ever saw:
Mauve of mystic; browns of rustic;
Reddened tones to match your blush;
Marine of passion, spending out your being,
Leaving you for ashen embers, fleeing
The dying light in hush of night.
And how you lay there empty.

So let me help re-grow the flowers
Once erect in fiery showers!
For now I've seen what love can do
When torn asunder – oh my catastrophic blunder!

But we must realise –
Our flaming want is meant to be!
We are the ocean and the sea;
The earth and moon; the sturdy tree:
All that makes the 'You and Me.'
And this is why I ache.
I wish to start again with thee,
In close and gripping
Synergy of love.

A Healing Heart...

Shattered heart forced to heal
as greatness unveils thine soul.
Hope whispered in the distance,
to recover thine lost love.

'Tis night brings tender passing,
healing thine soul with glorious blunder.
Caus' not one or two,
but dissipated nights of dreams.

Sadness comes to end,
happiness conquered hate.
Love sprouting -- sadness shrinking,
hope has come again.
