Future
When youve no crystal ball
When you cant see the future
Theres no future at all
They try to stop asking 'who'Like I try to stop asking 'why'
How can I forgive
When to concede is to die
And I see the future through open eyesI see the future,
through crystal ball liesI can see who,
I dont understand why
And I hope that they weep for the rest of their lives
You cant see the future
When youve no crystal ball
When you cant see the future
Theres no future at all
They try to stop asking 'who'Like I try to stop asking 'why'
How can I forgive
When to concede is to die
And I see the future through open eyesI see the future,
through crystal ball liesI can see who,
I dont understand why
And I hope that they weep for the rest of their lives
The Logical Future
the willed future builds an island of peace and harmony.
The logical future operates from past principles and perspectives;
the willed future is fueled by possibilities and passion.
The logical future protects your pension, perch, and position;
the willed future protects the person, progress, and principles.
The logical future makes me a product of my circumstances;
the willed future supersedes my circumstances.
The logical future makes excuses for poor performance;
the willed future sees mistakes as one of life’s greatest teachers.
The logical future expresses emotions from the pantry of our heads;
the willed future expresses emotions from the shelves of our heart.
The logical future writes certain people off;
the willed future invites diverse and unique perspectives.
The logical future becomes trapped in the storms of daily surprises;
the willed future anticipates and forecasts future events.
The logical future spends energy and emotions exclusively on the present; the willed future invests enormous time and energy on the future.
The Dark
Darkest clouds of blackest Hades,
Whirling onward into space;
Full of forms of ghostly horrors,
Madly join the phantom chase.
Earth below is lost in darkness,
Waves like mountains strike the sky,
Whilst the lurid lightning flashes,
And lost spirits shriek and cry.
Ne'er on earth was such dread darkness,
Ne'er such horrors, ghostly forms;
Ne'er such strokes of sulphurous lightning,
Ne'er such hellish terror storms.
And each vaporous home of thunder Changed to aspect yet more dark;
And their crashing loud artillery Followed close the 'lectric spark.And each cloud with spirits damning,
Teemed till mountains filled their spheres,
And their hideous, ghostly laughter Seemed devoid of hope and fears.And their aspect seemed unnatural,
Devilish was their face and form;
Peals of shrieking, ghostly laughter Quick increased,
as did the storm.
Then that ghostly throng of spirits,
Each with death's marks on its brow,
Danced and kept tune to the thunders,
To the lightning's lurid glow.
Hark! the thunder crashes louder,
'Tis the ghostly spirits' band;
But above the deafening echoes Are the curses of the damned.
Shuddering I, the scene beholding,
Felt my breast with horror swell;
For along the clouds in fire,
It was written — "This is Hell!"
